Strong Women Collective is an independent documentary production company specialising in character-driven documentaries about women's lives: stories that challenge stigmas and amplify marginalised voices.

Our work has screened on ABC, CBC, the Oprah Channel, National Geographic Showcase, and at festivals including Hot Docs. Our series Strong Women is now streaming on DocPlay and available for community screenings through DocAccess as well as for educational screenings on ClickView.

Our current projects focus on gender equality, women's safety, and underrepresented women's experiences. The collective was founded by AACTA Award-winning filmmakers Alexandra Gaulupeau (IDFAcademy alumna) and Corinne Innes (VicScreen Originate Factual participant and AIDC ACCESS alumna).

Diversity is not a commitment we make; it is the foundation of every project we develop.

We actively seek co-productions, impact partnerships, and collaborations with both emerging and established filmmakers from underrepresented communities, including female, LGBT+, culturally and linguistically diverse, and all-abilities practitioners, because we believe the future of documentary belongs to more diverse voices (in front of and behind the camera) and that our stories, told with honesty and craft, can change the world.
